TEMPE, AZ - Authorities say a Valley Metro bus was destroyed Friday afternoon when it went up in flames on a Tempe street.
Tempe Fire Department spokesman Mike Reichling said the driver reported having problems with the air conditioner and the bus was going to be taken out of service when the fire started around 4:30 p.m.
By the time firefighters arrived at the scene on Southern Avenue at the Loop 101 the bus was fully involved in fire.
One passerby caught the bus on fire and posted it to YouTube
Reichling said there were 23 people on the bus and all made it off safely. The bus is a complete loss.
