TEMPE, AZ - Police said a missing Tempe man was located early Sunday on a California interstate.

Sgt. Steve Carbajal with the Tempe Police Department said Lee Wasser, 80, was reported missing after he was last seen heading to a local barber shop Friday at 2 p.m.

Detectives later discovered Wasser was seen at 11:43 a.m. Saturday at a gas station near 12th Street and Indian School Road.

He left the gas station around 12:20 p.m. and was driving a metallic blue 2009 Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Carbajal said Wasser was located Sunday morning on I-5 near Glendale, California by the California Highway Patrol.

Wasser suffers from severe asthma, diabetes, and occasional memory loss.

He was disoriented, but otherwise in good condition and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
