TEMPE, AZ - A Tempe mall was reopened after it was evacuated while police searched for a man who was reported to have a gun.
Tempe police spokeswoman Molly Enright said officers received reports of a couple of subjects fighting who then ran away from the Arizona Mills Mall.
Enright said witnesses reported seeing one of the suspects waving a gun in the air.
She said stores were evacuated as a precaution and Tempe police conducted a "sweep search" of the mall.
While police conducted their search, Kymberlee Taylor said she was inside one of the stores.
Without telling her what was going on, the store shut its doors.
"We were in there for about five or ten minutes and then they let us out," she said. "The cops were at every single entrance and told us to leave and to get out and that there was a fight and a boy was waving a gun."
Taylor thought the whole thing was scary because she didn't know what was happening.
Enright said no shots were fired. She said neither of the subjects were found inside the mall.
Enright said that when caught, the suspect will at least face a charge of reckless endangerment with a weapon.
