TEMPE, AZ - A man died Thursday night after being hit by a car in Tempe.
Tempe police spokesman Michael Pooley said the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near Apache Boulevard and Dorsey Lane.
Pooley said the man was crossing Apache from north to south when he was hit by an eastbound car.
Authorities said the man was crossing mid-block and not in a crosswalk. Officers said the driver stopped and showed no signs of impairment.
The deceased man's name is not being released at this time.
