TEMPE, AZ - Police have arrested a man for trespassing after he allegedly shed his clothes and ran through a Tempe neighborhood naked.

Jeffrey Glover of the Tempe Police Department said police on Sunday morning were responding to a call for suspicious activity near Guadalupe and Country Club Way when they saw 23-year-old Sean-Paul Branscome walking up and down the sidewalk throwing himself against walls.

Witnesses told police Branscome was running through the neighborhood naked and jumping the fences of some of the homes.

A neighbor told police they saw Branscome in an alley wearing a garbage bag for clothing. Officers located Branscome and he was taken into custody.

Glover said after being arrested, Branscome admitted to officers that he had ingested bath salts.

Branscome was transported to a local hospital where he received medical treatment and was then taken to Tempe City Jail where he was booked on two counts of trespassing onto a residential yard.

Police said incidents like this are very concerning. People under the influence of bath salts often display violent behavior.

Some common signs and symptoms of bath salts are: Severe paranoia, anxious and jittery behavior, lack of appetite, erratic behavior with potential for hallucinations, violence and self-mutilation.

Police say If you encounter someone who could potentially be under the influence of bath salts please notify your local law enforcement agency.
