TEMPE, AZ - Police say an attorney has been arrested after a shooting outside a Tempe office building Thursday morning.
Tempe police say Joseph Palmisano, 48, was booked into jail for attempted murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping.
The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. at a business complex near Baseline and Rural roads.
Police said the victim, 25-year-old Ryan Hall, was shot several times but is expected to live.
Police said Hall's ex-girlfriend works for Palmisano, who is a criminal defense attorney.
Police spokeswoman Molly Enright said Palmisano was apparently in a relationship with the woman.
The two men got into an argument in the parking lot over the woman and Palmisano went and got a gun and shot Hall, according to police.
Several nearby schools were put on lockdown only as a precaution, Enright said. The lockdowns were lifted by 9:30 a.m.
No one else was injured during the incident.
