TEMPE, AZ - Officials announced Monday that METRO light rai l service will be extended beyond its regular service hours for those attending the Insight Bowl in Tempe Tuesday night.
METRO Public Information Officer Hilary Foose said trains will continue to run and arrive at stations every half hour through 2 a.m. Wednesday instead of shutting down at midnight.
Extra trains will also be added to get football fans to and from Sun Devil Stadium for the game between the Missouri Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes.
The game begins at 7 p.m. and Foose says the closest rail station to the stadium is Veterans Way/College Avenue.
Foose encourages anyone going to the game to buy an all-day pass from any station fare vending machine for round trip service.
