TEMPE, AZ - 45 firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Tempe Thursday evening.
The fire happened at an apartment complex in Tempe near Broadway Road and McClintock, according to Tempe Fire Department.
No one was home in the apartment where the fire originated, officials said.
Six units in all were damaged -- two were heavily damaged by smoke and another two were damaged due to water, said Tempe Fire.
Officials said the cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
