TEMPE, AZ - An appliance store employee was shot on the job in Tempe.

Detectives are still looking for the person responsible for shooting the worker inside the Appliance Depot along University Dr. near the 143.

The Tempe Police Department says the suspect walked into the store around 7:15 Saturday evening.

The employee was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery for his gunshot wound.

Officers say another employee was inside the store at the time of the shooting. Detectives are interviewing the employee and seeing if there the surveillance cameras in Appliance Depot were working at the time.
