Tempe police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating two burglary suspects officers say broke into a home near Price Road and Southern Avenue before taking off in a vehicle stolen from the residence slightly more than two months ago.
Between July 22 and July 23, the two suspects unlawfully entered the rear door of a residence and stole a 35-inch TV and a Mercury Marquis from the garage.
The stolen vehicle was seen at Price Road and Southern Avenue with the two suspects inside on July 23.
The suspects were followed to the shopping plaza located at Southern Avenue and McClintock Drive in Tempe, where both suspects entered a convenience store to purchase cigarettes.
The suspects then drove the vehicle into an alley where they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. No one was injured in the crash, according to police. The suspects fled on foot as police arrived on scene, and managed to escape capture. Both remain outstanding.
The driver of the stolen vehicle is described as a white male in his 20s with short dark hair, sporting a short beard and mustache. He was wearing a dark green shirt, blue jeans, and sunglasses or prescription transition glasses.
The passenger in the stolen vehicle is a white male in his 20s with short dark hair, short beard, possible short mustache, wearing a grey tank top and shorts.
