TEMPE, AZ - Police say they've arrested a second suspect in a fatal shooting at a Tempe apartment last month.
Tempe police announced Friday that Larry Dean Tellis Jr. was taken into custody in Vallejo, Calif. He's awaiting extradition to Arizona.
Police arrested 20-year-old Blaine Christopher Griffin Jr., of Phoenix, on Jan. 30 in connection with the shooting at the Hayden Lane Apartments.
Griffin is jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery and police say Tellis will be facing the same charges. It's unclear whether either suspect has a lawyer.
Police say 22-year-old Allen Philip Cropper was pronounced dead at a Tempe hospital shortly after the Jan. 18 shooting that also left another man wounded.
They say the shooting stemmed from a marijuana sale that triggered a fight at Cropper's apartment.
