TEMPE, AZ - One person suffered minor injuries in an accident between a light rail train and passenger car in Tempe Friday.
Officials at the scene said both vehicles were traveling in the same direction on Apache Boulevard near McClintock Drive when the car pulled in front of the train around 12:30 p.m.
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and one person on the light rail train refused treatment.
Officials said there was minor damage to both the train and passenger car.
The train continued on but will be taken out of service at the end of its run, according to authorities.
