QUEEN CREEK, AZ - A Valley hospital wants its patients to feel comfortable with their doctors.
Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek recently opened its doors. This weekend, the hospital wants moms-to-be to interview possible doctors.
On Saturday, the hospital will offer "Speed Dating Docs". Each session lasts about 40 minutes.
Potential patients can interview OB/GYN doctors for five minutes each. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are limited and reservations are required.
“Women will have the chance to find the physician they feel the most comfortable with,” Susan Johnson, Nursing Manager of Women and Infant Services said.
The hospital will then offer a community baby shower. Informational booths and presentations will be given during the shower.
Officials with the hospital say since its opening, more than 75 babies have been delivered at Banner Ironwood.
