QUEEN CREEK, AZ - A passing motorist notified police of an armed robbery that occurred around 2 a.m. Monday morning.
Maricopa County Police say that they received a call from the motorist who was watching two men dressed in black holding employees at gunpoint in a Dunkin Donuts store.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the location at 18490 E. Rittenhouse Road and arrested the two suspects, Jerett Dowland and Richard Villalobos, while they were still in the process of the robbery.
Villalobos, 22, was a shift leader at the Dunkin Donuts location and Dowland, 18, worked at a different location but was let go after stealing credit card numbers.
Both men are facing felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
