SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. - Sheriff's officials say a woman who went missing Friday afternoon has been found safe thanks to a tip from a concerned citizen.
Elias Johnson with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said deputies found Janet Sue Goacher Saturday afternoon at an abandoned San Tan Valley home.
Goacher was last seen leaving her residence on foot in the Castle Gate subdivision around 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The citizen, who did not know 54-year-old Goacher, reportedly gave her a ride to a nearby vacant home after picking her up along the side of the road Friday night. The citizen later alerted PCSO deputies after seeing Goacher's photo on the news.
Johnson said sheriff's deputies are still working to determine why Goacher left her home.
