QUEEN CREEK, AZ - A man who claims to have started drinking in a desert area of Queen Creek was rescued Friday morning.
According to Collin Williams with Rural Metro, the rescued man called 911 after being in a wash near Empire Boulevard and Hawes Road overnight.
According to Williams, the man claims to have been drinking at 6 a.m. on Thursday when he crashed his dirt bike into a wash.
Rural Metro says he has a leg injury and could possibly have a broken leg.
Air15 flew over the scene and showed rescue personnel placing the man on a stretcher and into a rescue vehicle.
