QUEEN CREEK, AZ - The Pinal County Sheriff's Department is looking into an incident where a teacher is accused of hurting a student.
It happened at Copper Basin Elementary School in Queen Creek.
The P.E. teacher is accused of grabbing a 9-year-old girl by the arm after he was hit with a shoe.
The student was taken to the hospital by her parents as a precaution.
The student's parents told ABC15 that the girl's forearm is sprained and in a sling.
The teacher is on administrative leave.
