MESA, AZ - Mesa has made a list of the most “redneck” cities in America.
The list of the "10 Most Redneck Cities in America" was published Thursday by Movoto Blog , a real-estate website. Mesa was ranked No. 10.
The site judged the cities based on multiple criteria, including the percent of the population that didn’t complete high school and the number of local gun stores, taxidermists, Walmarts and having a nearby NASCAR track.
Mesa had the highest number of gun and ammo stores per capita, with 132 for its population of about 446,000, according to the report.
Mesa also ranked in the top three for the number of nearby Walmart stores, NASCAR tracks and taxidermists.
