MESA, AZ - Several people were injured in an accident that involved a police officer in Mesa Saturday morning.
A Mesa Fire Department spokesman said seven people were injured, two of them children, in the crash that happened just before 10 a.m. at McKellips Road and Country Club Drive. All suffered minor injuries.
A Mesa police officer responding to another accident call was rear-ended in the accident, but was not injured. The driver involved in the original accident was also uninjured, according to officials.
There was no word on what caused the accident.
