MESA, AZ - An apologetic robber got away with cash from a Mesa AT&T store after apologizing for holding the clerk at gunpoint, according to a police report.
The robber, who was wearing black jeans, a sweatshirt, a hat, and glasses, entered the store at 1728 S Greenfield Rd around 4:50 pm Tuesday.
He spoke to the sales person for a few minutes and eventually “pulled out a handgun and said he was sorry but he needed all the money,” according to the report.
Police said they questioned several people in the area but they were unable to find the suspect.
