PHOENIX - A Mesa family is planning the wedding of a lifetime. Three sisters and two brothers are all getting married on the exact same day.
Doug and Kristen Waldie tell us their children all got engaged all within three weeks.
“I saw it all coming. So I would joke that we should have them all get married at the same time,” said Doug.
What started out as a joke turned into reality. The siblings and their significant others eventually agreed.
“Initially, I was having trouble understanding how five people can get married at the same time,” said Doug Chaub, groom-to-be.
The family realized that if they all had a different wedding on a different day, that family members and friends wouldn’t be able to attend.
“Nothing is more important than family, so it’s worth sacrificing to be together,” said bride-to-be Sydney Waldie.
The wedding is on August 10, and 1,200 people are expected to attend.
