MESA, AZ - Mesa City Council members approved the addition of four new light rail station locations at a meeting Monday night.

Council members reportedly recommended four stations located along Main Street with convenient pedestrian access.

The station recommendations include Alma School Road, Country Club Drive, Center Street and Mesa Drive.

These locations were selected for their proximity to activity centers and bus routes as well as their economic development potential.

The City Council also recommended a Main Street traffic configuration from Sycamore to Mesa Drive.
