MESA, AZ - The Mesa and Tempe Fire Departments extinguished a blaze early Tuesday morning that destroyed a mobile home near Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue.
According to officials, when crews responded around 3 a.m., they were unable to get into the mobile home quickly because the resident's large amount of personal belongings were blocking the entrance, causing the fire to quickly spread throughout the home.
However, authorities said that the crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to other mobile homes nearby.
The home's single resident, a male in his seventies, was not home at the time of the fire, officials said, adding that no one was injured in the fire.
The home was completely destroyed.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
