MESA, AZ - Authorities are investigating a deadly rollover accident near Broadway and Ellsworth Roads Tuesday afternoon in Mesa, Ariz.
Joaquin Enriquez of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said a female driver died after her vehicle flipped over shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Ellsworth in Mesa.
Witnesses told police the driver ran the red light at the intersection and struck a light pole before the vehicle flipped over.
AIR15 video showed a silver vehicle flipped over, a damaged light post as well as a portion of a cinder block fence destroyed.
Authorities said no other vehicles or people were involved in the accident. Investigators are on scene and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
