MESA, AZ - A man and his horse had to be rescued in Mesa on Thursday after they crashed into a canal.
Mesa Fire Department officials said the horse and buggy crashed into a canal at Greenfield and McKellips roads around 3 p.m. Thursday.
Air15 video showed the horse being walking out of the water by fire officials.
Officials said the horse was walking near the edge of the canal to keep its distance from a car parked along the canal, when it fell into the water.
The horse and the man both escaped the crash without any injuries.
