MESA, AZ - Police said a 19-year-old man was killed after a car caught fire in a Mesa accident Thursday.

Forrest Smith with the Mesa Fire Department said fire crews responded to the crash at McKellips and Falcon Drive.

A car collided with a tow truck and there was a small fire inside the car, according to Smith.

Mesa Police Sgt. Ed Wessing said the teen died. His identity has not been released.

Wessing said impairment is not a factor in the crash.

The tow truck driver was uninjured, according to Wessing.
