MESA, AZ - Fire crews have found the body of woman while battling a house fire in East Mesa.
The fire burned through a mobile home near Main Street and Greenfield Road Thursday morning.
When crews got inside, they found the body of an elderly woman, according to Mesa Fire Department spokesman Forrest Smith.
Air15 video showed much of the home's roof burned away.
Smith said a neighbor tried to get into the home to help the woman but was driven back by flames and smoke.
Late Thursday morning investigators reported that the victim had two space heaters plugged in and at least two power strips with Christmas trees and decorations plugged in. They are not certain these caused the fire but said it's possible.
