MESA, AZ - The Mesa Police Department says they have located a 14-year-old boy who went missing from his home after being released from an alternative youth center in Mesa on Friday.
Police spokesman Tony Landato said Israel Lopez was located in Clinton, Maine on Monday around 3 p.m.
Landato said the boy was with his mother. Lopez’s father is currently his legal guardian.
Police were concerned because when Lopez left the youth center, he took his personal belongings, but did not take his medication for his seizure disorder.
There is no word on if any charges will be filed.
