GILBERT, AZ - With the challenges of the Arizona housing market, a Valley realtor is turning to coupons to help clients and spark new business.

Christine Loschiavo of Team Real AZ at West USA Realty Revelation is offering $1,250 off your closing costs for $25.

You need to buy the coupon on the website Weeklyplus.com in the same way you might buy a discounted coupon to use for a dinner out.

"It is exciting," said Loschiavo. "It is a smoking deal."

Buyers or sellers can purchase the coupon that launched Thursday afternoon. You then have one year to use it or it expires.

In a situation where closing costs may be already paid like say in an FHA loan, then the coupon can be used for an alternate product like a home warranty or any other costs that come up during the closing.

"We are kind of the guinea pig," said Loschiavo, who is unaware of anyone else in the Valley using coupon sites to generate new leads.

She says it is a must to get more buyers out into the market.

Closing costs typically run around 3 percent. On a $125,000 home that would make closing costs $3,750. Minus the $1250 coupon and that brings down closing to $2,500.

"It can be what knocks some people out of the playing field," said Loschiavo.
