PHOENIX - Phoenix police say two young boys who went missing Sunday afternoon have been found safe.

According to Sgt. Tommy Thompson, 13-year-olds Michael Trow and Connor Bockhorn were located just after midnight.

They initially went missing around 1 p.m. Sunday after volunteering at Los Ninos Hospital near Thomas Road and 24th Street.

Thompson said the boys wandered away from their group and didn’t know how to get back. They told police they started “walking back home”.

The boys have been reunited with their families.
