GILBERT, AZ - A Gilbert woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the back on Sunday.
Gilbert police say officers were called to a home near Recker and Guadalupe roads around 6 a.m. after receiving two calls about a stabbing.
The victim, a 35-year-old Mesa man, reported that his girlfriend had stabbed him in the back and he was locked inside her bathroom until police arrived.
Police say an argument took place after the victim reportedly received a phone call from another woman.
When officers arrived they took 39-year-old Latina Marie Carr into custody without incident.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
