GILBERT, AZ - Gilbert police say a man who was caught smoking marijuana in a parked vehicle Wednesday night also had items with him for creating graffiti.
According to police, a patrol officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked near Burk Street and East Elliot Road and approached the vehicle.
Inside was Zachary Osowoski, 24. The officer observed Osowoski smoking marijuana, and spotted a large amount of cans of spray paint, markers, and stencils. Osowoski indicated he was involved in tagging.
Osowoski was arrested for possession of marijuana, and later released pending charges for possession of marijuana with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
An investigation into possible criminal damage to property from graffiti is continuing, according to police.
