GILBERT, AZ - A Gilbert man was identified and arrested after stealing a woman's purse while she was loading groceries into her vehicle late Sunday night.
The 47-year-old victim was at the Fry's Foods located at Warner Road and Val Vista Drive and had her purse inside a grocery cart.
Both the victim and witnesses were able to describe the suspect and vehicle as he fled the scene in an Isuzu Rodeo, according to police.
Officers located the vehicle in the area and made a traffic stop, and the victim was able to identify the suspect, 20-year-old Rufus Green IV, at the scene.
Green was processed and later booked into 4th Avenue Jail for Theft.
