GILBERT, AZ - Gilbert police say a man tried to lure two children walking to school Thursday morning.
Jesse Sanger with Gilbert police said the 13-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother were in the area of Bonanza Road and Seton Avenue when they were approached.
The nearest major cross streets are Pecos and Higley roads.
The man was driving a white Ford Explorer, Sanger said.
He’s described as a Hispanic man with a thin build, wearing a blue T-shirt, Sanger said.
The driver reportedly told the children to stop, and that’s when the girl grabbed her brother and ran to San Tan Elementary.
Gilbert police went to the area to search for the suspect but didn’t find anything, Sanger said.
No other description of the suspect was available.
A parent emailed ABC15 to say he received a voice mail from the school, alerting families about the incident.
