GILBERT, AZ - Police say a 73-year-old woman who went missing Tuesday in Gilbert has been found safe in New Mexico.

Sgt. J. Sanger with Gilbert police said Linda Sue Wicks was last seen around 5 p.m. Tuesday after grocery shopping with family.

Sanger said she was driving east on Elliot Road from Recker Road in a dark blue 2007 Infinity EX35 with Arizona license plate 186FDV.

There was no indication of foul play, but there was concern for her welfare, he said.

Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sanger emailed ABC15 to say she was found in New Mexico.

Family members were on their way to pick her up, Sanger said.
