GILBERT, AZ - Officers responded to a call Sunday night regarding a female walking in traffic that ended in the assault of a police officer.

According to a Gilbert police report, 17-year-old Allison Rae Hare told police that she had been trying to jump in front of traffic to commit suicide near Guadalupe and Val Vista roads.

Officers attempted to restrain Hare in order to transport her on a medical gurney and she kicked an officer in the leg and spit in his face, according to police.

After being taken to the hospital, Hare assaulted two nurses as she tried to leave the hospital.

Hare will be charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.
