Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing ATMs in Maricopa County.
Gilbert police have been investigating the theft of one ATM and the attempted theft of another from two Chase bank locations in the city since last year.
Police say the suspects were arrested Monday in southern Arizona after allegedly trying to steal an ATM in Oro Valley.
The suspects have been identified as 46-year-old Gerald Paul Cox of Gilbert and 34-year-old Coryell Mariner of Chandler.
Gilbert police say both suspects have been booked into jail on suspicion of theft, criminal damage and theft of means of transportation.
They say evidence obtained during search warrants implicated the two suspects in four ATM theft cases. One theft and one attempted theft occurred in Phoenix with the other cases in Gilbert.
