GILBERT, AZ - Police say a driver escaped injury when the truck she was driving ended up in a Gilbert canal Monday night.

According to Gilbert police, the accident near Val Vista Drive and Ocotillo Road appeared to be weather-related.

Police say the elderly woman was the only person in the vehicle when the accident happened.
