GILBERT, AZ - Gilbert police say two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday.

According to a police report, 23-year-old Michael Jacob Bruenig of Mesa was driving south on San Tan Village Parkway at Ray Road when his Honda Civic struck a light pole around 10:30 p.m.

Bruenig and his passenger, 39-year-old Bryan Joseph Taube of Gilbert, were both killed in the collision.

Police said alcohol and speed may be factors in the collision.

The crash is under investigation.
