GILBERT, AZ - Neighbors woke up Tuesday morning to smoke damage to their homes after a massive warehouse fire .
The neighborhood is located near McQueen and Baseline in Gilbert.
Homeowners pressure-washed their houses, cleaned their carpets, and even had insurance adjusters come out to inspect the most serious damage.
The warehouse fire started around 3:00 p.m. Monday. Fire crews worked throughout the night to contain the fire.
Some people planned to move out of their homes until they've been cleaned because they were afraid of any chemicals that came into the home.
"You could just smell the smoke, it didn't smell like a regular fire. I'm assuming it's from the chemicals," said Wess Rob.
Homeowners had to keep their windows open during the fire to prevent their windows from breaking.
