GILBERT, AZ - Two people have been arrested on charges of aggravated assault after reportedly pointing a gun at a U.S. Postal employee from their car, Gilbert Police said.
Matthew Clark, 20, was driving with Amber Weel, 18, on San Tan Village Parkway between Williams Field and Ray roads when Clark's car reportedly reversed into the postal worker's vehicle at a red light.
It was unclear if the car rolled or was placed into reverse.
Clark began waving a gun above his vehicle at Greenfield and Warner Roads, according to police.
He continued in the direction of the post office at Palo Verde and Val Vista Drives where the employee was headed.
When the employee reached the office, Clark made a U-turn and pointed the gun "in a threatening manner," according to the worker's descriptions.
Weel and Clark were booked into the Maricopa County Jail pending charges of aggravated assault.
