CHANDLER, AZ - A 61-year-old woman was killed while walking on Interstate 10 early Thursday night in Chandler.
Officials say a woman was walking against traffic when she was hit by a car on Interstate 10 and the Loop 202.
All four lanes of Interstate 10 were closed for several hours. Vehicles were forced to exit Wild Horse Pass Drive and re-enter the freeway.
Authorities are unsure why the woman was walking on the freeway at this time.
All lanes are now back open in the area.
