SUN LAKES, AZ - A Sun Lakes man accused of robbing dozens of homes and stealing $100,000 worth of items is behind bars.

Sheriff's deputies arrested 50-year-old Kilian Hale, accusing him of trafficking in stolen property, burglary and drug possession.

He was caught while trying to sell the items at area pawn shops, ranging from jewelry, cash, and even a stamp collection.

"There are a lot of elderly people who live around here, and someone could get hurt," said resident Julie Borris.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio says his deputies got a tip from Chandler Police which led them to Hale.

He says he hit 42 homes in the Sun Lakes, Chandler, and Phoenix areas.

"Forty-two homes in a short time period. Not like the 'Rock Burglar,' who operated for years, this guy lasted maybe two months," said Arpaio.

The Rock Burglar hit homes in the Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Fountain Hills for nearly two decades.

Hale lived with his mother in Sun Lakes. She refused to speak to ABC15.
