PHOENIX - Phoenix police have identified a man shot and killed by officers.
Sgt. Steve Martos says the man killed in northeast Phoenix Friday night has been identified as 29-year-old Jonathan Tricarico.
Martos says he doesn't have information on where Tricarico lived.
The incident started when Mesa police spotted a vehicle stolen in Chandler. Police kept the vehicle under surveillance as it entered Scottsdale and then Phoenix.
Martos says Tricarico was shot by officers after he allegedly fired first at them when officers confronted him.
