CHANDLER, AZ - Authorities have identified the 25-year-old father who is believed to have shot and killed his three-month-old son before turning the gun on himself Sunday morning.
Seth Tyler with the Chandler Police Department identified the shooter to be 25-year-old Rajneesh Saini, a Tempe resident.
Saini was attending a family gathering earlier before the shooting occurred, police said.
Neighbors described the neighborhood as quiet and a place where everyone mostly knew everyone.
A handwritten sign posted on the door of the home Sunday where the incident happened read, "No comment. Please respect our family's privacy at this difficult time.
No further details surrounding the shooting were released.
