CHANDLER, AZ - Authorities say two people were struck by a car on Arizona Avenue in Chandler Friday evening.
Chandler police said late Friday that the two men, ages 32 and 34, were transported to Scottsdale Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. One of the men is reported to have suffered a serious head injury.
Chandler police Sgt. Joe Favazzo said the incident began with a fight inside the El Coyote Bar on Arizona Avenue near Erie Street shortly after 9 p.m.
Several people were involved in the fight that eventually moved out into the alley and parking lot area of the bar.
The fight then spilled out onto Arizona Avenue and the two men ran into the street where they were struck near the two-way left turn lane.
Favazzo said the two men went over the hood and into the windshield of the vehicle.
The driver initially left the scene, but turned around and returned as police arrived. Police determined the driver was not impaired.
It was unclear whether the driver will face any charges.
Police have not released the names of the two men.
