CHANDLER, AZ - Police say a charred body discovered inside a burning car next to Chandler High School may have been a result of a single-vehicle car crash.
Chandler Police Detective Seth Tyler said investigators believe the driver may have lost control of the car early Saturday although it's unclear why. He said a preliminary investigation revealed no signs of foul play.
Tyler says firefighters discovered the body after being called to the fire. He says the investigation is not affecting any activities at the school.
The body has been identified as an adult male. Police are waiting to release the victim's name until next of kin are notified.
