CHANDLER, AZ - A Chandler woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband with a sword Sunday during an argument at the couple's home.
Police responded to the residence near McClintock Drive and Chandler Boulevard around 5 p.m. after Louis Haas reported that he had been stabbed by his wife.
According to a police report, when officers arrived, they located Louis Haas with an apparent knife wound on his upper arm. Fire crews evaluated Haas and he was transported to an area hospital to be treated for his wounds.
In an interview with police, Pamela Haas reportedly told officers she had stabbed her husband after he repeatedly punched her in the stomach and the back of the head during an argument.
Pamela Haas maintained that the altercation was sparked after she refused to give Louis his car keys because he was intoxicated. In a separate interview with officers, Louis Haas alleged that he had told his wife he was moving out and she became enraged, chasing him around their home with the sword.
According to Chandler police, there were no signs on Pamela Haas' body that she had been physically assaulted by her husband. Due to a lack of evidence to support her allegations, no charges were filed against Louis Haas and he was released from the hospital.
Pamela Haas was taken into custody and booked into the 4th Avenue jail on charges of aggravated assault.
