CHANDLER, AZ - Authorities say a man being arrested on a warrant in Chandler has died after scuffling with police officers.
Police say two patrol officers attempted to arrest 41-year-old Ralph Gamboa in the front yard of a home about 12:45 p.m. Friday.
They say the officers identified Gamboa through an earlier trespass investigation and found he had a felony-caution warrant for his arrest.
When the officers attempted to arrest Gamboa, they say he began fighting them and additional units were called.
They say the man later became unresponsive, emergency life-saving measures were performed and he was taken to a Chandler hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Gamboa's last known address was in Phoenix.
No officers were injured.
