CHANDLER, AZ - A Chandler couple accused of keeping their severely disabled 8-year-old son locked in a bathroom have pleaded guilty to attempted child abuse.
A Maricopa County Superior Court spokeswoman says Vu Quang Tran and Siobhan Grogan entered their pleas Monday.
Tran and Grogan were arrested a year ago after maintenance man found the boy after the child used clothes to clog the toilet and flood the bath.
The couple was taken into custody after coming to the police station to bring the boy clothes and special food.
Police say the couple has a healthy 5-year-old daughter. They told police they regularly left the boy alone so they could lead normal lives.
